About ACCSES

On July 1, 2007, the American Congress of Community Support and Employment Services (ACCSES) merged with Disability Support Providers of America (DSPA) to successfully form ACCSES. The announcement was made at the 2007 Legislative Fly-In ACCSES Conference in Washington, D.C. One year  prior to this merger on June 1, 2006, ACCSES and DSPA had  formed an alliance to further strengthen, through focused and targeted national policies and legislation, the effectiveness of direct-service provider organizations to promote and enhance the education, employment opportunities and independent living of individuals with disabilities. This important partnership represented both organizations on legislative and regulatory issues.

Today, ACCSES represents more than 80 partner organizations across the country as the Voice of Disability Service Providers. Under the leadership of its CEO John. D.Kemp, ACCSES works to promote and enhance community-based solutions that maximize employment and living opportunities for people with disabilities; through collaboration with government and other stakeholders to assure that services recognize and support the full potential of each person with a disability to enjoy a meaningful life.
